The Social Collective is used to track different projects and therefore the name of the stakeholders or beneficiaries need to match the program as well as capture the naming convention used by the implementing client.
Using the naming convention created by the project or the company ensures that stakeholders do not get confused about the terminology used.
Generically, to track and report on any projects, a user has to first create an "Organisation" profile. The name "Organisations" can be renamed as part of the setup process of your portal. This change will be effected in all its use across the portal.
For example, in this portal (and by default), you will be able to change the term "Organisations" in all of its uses in the portal.
How to rename the title of the organisation page
You will need super admin rights in order for you to be able to change the name of "organisations" on your portal.
If you want to change the title of your portal's organisation page, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to the setup panel first.
On your portal, click on the "Settings" link on the right-hand sidebar and go to the "Organisation" tab on usage and account settings.
2. Enter the name or term you want to use instead of "organisations".
On the tab, you will find three fields:
- Title of organisation page
- Singular form of the title
- Add new organisation button text
For example, let's say you want to use the term "companies".
That means you will input the following on the fields:
- Companies
- Company
- Add a new company
3. Once you're done, click on the "Save" button.
Notice how the renaming changes the organisation page.
Even when you add a new organisation, the changes you made are still reflected.
That's it! If you want to reverse the changes, simply retrace the steps and replace "companies" with "organisations".
