Moderation gives you control of what data is accepted on your portal as well as what users are able to access before their organisations are moderated.
This feature enables you to carry out any pre-screening that you would like on organisations under moderation before the profile becomes active allowing the user to create opportunities or to complete any due diligence forms related to their organisation.
If you are a super admin, then this new setting will allow you to control whether or not organisations in moderation can submit due diligence forms (validation) and create opportunities.
By default, these options are set to NO.
This means that users who try to submit due diligence forms for organisations in moderation will get a 403 Forbidden message and will not be able to access the validation page. Users will not be able to see the organisation while on the opportunity creation page.
Aside from that, there is also an option to enable users who added new organisations to land directly on the organisation's profile page.
If a super admin changes this setting, the user will land directly on the organisation's profile page right after adding that organisation — along with a green banner notifying the user that the organisation has been successfully added.
In short, this feature adds three primary options:
- Allow or disallow organisations in moderation to submit due diligence forms for validation
- Allow or disallow organisations in moderation to create opportunities
- Enable/disable the option to have the user land directly on the organisation profile page
Only approved and active organisations can be added to Susurate Initiatives. If you search for an organisation name to add to the initiative and they do not appear, contact your super administrator to approve the organisation or check for the approval and moderation settings as well as the deadline settings.
Note that this feature is useful when it comes to managing the stakeholders you have on your portal.
