Our community is founded on a few core values: trust, honesty and good will. Everyone who uses our platforms also commits to these values. How else will we all make a positive change in the world?

We’ve got just a few guidelines about using the platform to keep it an open and democratic space.

Don’t spam

This includes link-bombing, promoting a project where it shouldn’t be promoted, sending unsolicited @’s on Twitter, hyping third-party services, and using email lists from outside sources, to name a few.

Don’t be nasty

Don’t post offensive, hateful, or dishonest content. Don’t post personal information (yours or anyone else's). Don’t post copyrighted content without permission. If you don’t like a project, don’t Count In. Simply move along until you find one you do like. Please always have respect for our shared platform and others visiting it.

If you see something, say something.

If something seems strange, offensive or inaccurate, please let us know. Our Administration teams review every post and report, and we take action when we see someone violating these guidelines. Sometimes that just means giving someone a warning; sometimes it means revoking certain privileges or accounts entirely. The best way to avoid anything like that happening to you? Don’t spam, and don’t post content you aren’t allowed to.

As our community grows and changes, so will the way we evaluate and enforce these guidelines. It’s up to all of us to ensure that The Social Collective remains a safe and fun place to launch and support community projects. Thanks for being a part of the community!
